Our product Lome™ is a feed additive incorporated into animal feed which reduces their enteric methane emissions (farts and burps) by up to 90%.

Microbes in the cow's rumen help their digestion of food, a biological process that releases hydrogen and carbon dioxide (CO2). Methane (CH4) is formed when an enzyme in the rumen combines these two gases. Supplementing only a few grams of Lome to the cow's diet, which contains bioactive compounds that suppress this enzyme, up to 90% of methane emissions are reduced.
Only a few grams per day reduces up to 90% of methane emissions – too good to be true? Nope. Backed by over 10 years of research, feed additives' ability to reduce methane production in cows has been scientifically proven, both in efficiency and safety. Designed to be seamlessly implemented on farms, our additive is incorporated into normal animal feed.

There are around one billion cows on the planet. Together they produce over 4% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions just by farting and burping methane gas. That’s 2x more emissions than the world’s fleet of airplanes.
Volta Greentech is on a mission to reduce these emissions to mitigate global warming. By providing farmers with our feed additive Lome™, we are together with our customers drastically reducing the methane emissions produced by cows.

On the surface, we are a Swedish greentech company on a mission to reduce methane emissions from the world's cows. Under the surface, we are more than that. We are a growing team of innovators from over five nationalities who all share a commitment and passion for using our personal gifts and skills to bring climate innovations to the market at scale and create real measurable impact. Many solutions to help battle climate change are already out there – what we need are humans who are ready to do whatever it takes to implement them at scale. So, we rolled up our sleeves and founded Volta Greentech, a tech company by heart, run by humans dedicating their actions and their love for technology to saving and preserving our only home, planet earth.
