What we do
Neocrete is nano-engineering concrete for the building needs of today and tomorrow - regenerative, low carbon and resilient to the impacts of climate change.
Neocrete's technology activates low-carbon materials, such as volcanic ash, strengthening their binding properties, so they can replace cement in concrete, without carbon intensive and costly manufacturing processes.
Neocrete is the future of concrete.
Company's story
Our Specialty
Our Product
Currently Neocrete can reduce carbon in concrete by 30-50%, with no loss in strength at any age, and is on track to produce carbon neutral concrete by 2027.
Neocrete is proven in real-life builds in New Zealand, including projects by Ministry of Housing Kainga Ora and eHaus.
Neocrete is now building a plant for trials and pilot projects with cement and concrete suppliers around the world. Neocrete will be available for commercial pilots with large customers from late 2024, and for commercial sales from early 2025.
Technical Information
Neocrete’s previous generation activator, "D5 Green", has been used in infrastructure, commercial and residential projects across New Zealand - in schools, galleries, homes and precast panels.
D5 Green’s environmental benefits have been verified through extensive independent testing in Australia and NZ. D5 Green is BRANZ appraised for enhanced durability and water tightness.
Neocrete Activator is added at 2-4% of cementitious materials. Neocrete Activator technical documentation and EPD will be available early 2024.

Our story
Neocrete was founded in New Zealand in 2018 by Zarina Bazoeva and Matt Kennedy-Good, focused on making carbon neutral, more resilient concrete - with no cement.
Working first from a converted shipping container - more recently from shiny new laboratories in Parnell - Neocrete's R&D team has been refining its additive activator to reduce the cement and carbon footprint in concrete, while increasing its durability - without compromising strength at any age.
