What we do
We manufacture our patented Oil Palm Trunk Pulverizer machine, the Trunkbuster. It breaks down Oil Palm Trunks (OPT) into 1 inch fibres within 2 minutes. We also design, supply and install complete OPT Pellet lines.
Pulverized OPT fibres can be converted into a variety of downstream products such as fertilizer, wood products, bioenergy, pellets, biofuels, bio based chemicals and others.

Our Specialty
The Trunkbuster machine is designed to efficiently pulverize Oil Palm Trunks (OPT) of any length in a single pass. Trunks must be free of petioles and dirt as these will cause blades to blunt prematurely.
Typically trunks achieve heights in excess of 10m when they are felled during replanting program. In order to ensure sustainability of nutrient return to the soil, only 28 feet or about 8.5 meters per tree is removed from the field. We call this Twenty eight Foot Length of trunk as one TFL.
The diameter of trunk varies widely between 450 to 650 mm.
Our machine pulverizes one TFL of trunk within 2 - 4 minutes, while consuming less than 2 litres of fuel. The set of ten blades normally processes about 250 TFL's of trunk before blades need to be changed.

Our story
The TrunkbusterTM machine is the outcome of R & D carried out in Malaysian plantations over an 8 year period, subjecting the machine to field testing on over 2,000 felled Oil Palm Trunks (OPT). Patents have been granted for the unique nature of this machine's design which allows it to efficiently break down an Oil Palm Trunk into fibres averaging 1 inch in length.
Prime power is delivered via a 450 hp diesel engine which drives a cutting drum containing cutting blades.
We are a Malaysian based company and the entire machine is fully manufactured in Malaysia. In June 2014 we welcomed our first overseas investment in the company, which has now given us a presence in Japan via Trunk Busters Japan Inc.
