Hyme's main innovation is the salt used as a storage medium - sodium hydroxide. Its improved thermal properties enable us to reduce the cost and footprint of molten salt storage and to provide a cost-competitive and scalable pathway for decarbonization of heat and power generation.

Hyme is on a mission to accelerate the transition towards a fossil-free energy future by bringing large-scale molten salt energy storage to market no later than 2025.
Hyme is a spinoff from nuclear technology company, Seaborg Technologies.
Hyme was established in 2021, as Seaborg Technologies’ extensive research work on molten salts led to new insights on sodium hydroxide chemistry. The results were so convincing that Hyme was set on a journey to bring the game-changing innovation to the energy storage market.
The two companies are collaborating and share the same values and vision for a world where clean energy is available for all.
