Company's story
Our Specialty
A Win-Win Solution
CarbonCure creates carbon removal technologies that introduce recycled CO₂ into fresh concrete to reduce its carbon footprint, without compromising performance.
Once injected, the CO₂ undergoes a mineralization process and becomes permanently embedded in the concrete. This results in economic and climate benefits for concrete producers—truly a win-win

Our story
500 Million Tonne CO₂ Reduction
CarbonCure is on a mission to make concrete a climate solution, annually reducing and removing 500 million metric tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
Carbon XPRIZE Winner
The $20M NRG COSIA Carbon XPRIZE is a global competition that took place in three rounds over 54 months. It challenged participants to develop breakthrough technologies to convert CO₂ into usable products — with the ultimate goal of tackling climate change. CarbonCure became one of 38 shortlisted contenders for the Carbon XPRIZE in 2015 and in 2020 completed its final technology demonstration in Alberta, Canada.
“CarbonCure’s solution for the concrete industry exemplifies XPRIZE’s ideal innovation — it is effective, commercially viable, and scalable — and it can make a real difference to climate change today.”
-Marcius Extavour, Executive Director of the Carbon XPRIZE and VP of Climate and Energy for the XPRIZE Foundation
