What we do
INNOVATIVE AND SMART TECHNIQUE FOR COATING INDUSTRIAL ASSETS
Based on years of research, Qlayers has developed innovative robotic technology to automatically coat large assets such as storage tanks, ships, wind turbines and more. This robotic technology enables coating contractors increase safety and efficiency of their projects and apply protective coatings with virtually no overspray.
Company's story
Our Specialty
Qlayers is highly inspired by nature where all the surfaces are multifunctional. We are developing a unique technology that can apply drag-reducing ‘sharkskin’ microstructures on large industrial surfaces like ships, airplanes and wind turbine blades, making them more energy efficient.
Our story
Qlayers is a Dutch scale-up developing innovative robotic solutions for coating large-scale industrial infrastructures such as storage tanks, wind turbine blades, and ships.
Our robotic technology enables coating contractors to overcome the limitations of manual coating and carry out maintenance projects in a more efficient, fast and safe manner with virtually no overspray.
In addition, we envision making surfaces functional by replicating microstructures as seen in nature, such as drag-reducing sharkskin. Inspired by nature and fascinating riblets in the skin of sharks, our R&D team is developing a unique technology to print customizable microstructures on the scale of micrometers that can start a revolution in industries such as aviation and wind energy.
