Our story
Naglus Industries Sdn. Bhd. is a university’s spin-off company of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) registered under SSM 1359337-D. It is founded by the academia and industry people in commercializing research products in UTM. Main products of Naglus Industries Sdn. Bhd. (referred to as “Naglus Industries”) is designed to mitigate the climate change based on the renewable biomass nanofluidics technology. It consists from producing the nano structures (resin) for many nanotechnology applications. The nano structure is extracted from green biomass waste specifically from nano cellulose. It is a perfect example of biomass renewable energy R&D&C&I – Research, Development, Commercialization, and Innovation, which converts biomass waste into wealth or high value-added products.
The uniqueness of Naglus Industries Sdn. Bhd. is from its whole package of nanotechnology process right from the nano structure basis up to front end product which being made locally. The nano resin produced from bioreactor has high potential value to be marketed as it is very rare to find for a local resin producer. That’s the beauty of Naglus Industries made from our research knowledge gained from USA and Japan, and are proudly produced from Malaysian experts to global. Naglus Industries is expanding with broader range of potential products including bio jetfuels of Sustainable Aviation Fuel made from biomass waste (SAF 7566 Jet A1), nano coating product with MIZU 水 Paint branding, nano fabric, nano health products besides its signature product Dr.Z NanoFuel™ Patch as a low carbon device and fuel economizer for engines and motors.
Latest achievement, our product has been entitled as a genuinely Nano-Certified product after receiving NANOVerified recognition from NanoMalaysia Berhad in collaboration with SIRIM QAS International managed by NANOVerify Sdn. Bhd. (Subsidiary of NanoMalaysia Berhad). Confirmation of this nano certificate and policy is only given to the products that have passed the SIRIM audit and made from product’s particle size of below 100 nanometer (nm) only. Dr.Z NanoFuel™ patch (low carbon emission patch) and MIZU 水 Paint (heat reductor and CO2 adsorbent paint) have occupied a size of below 20 nm particle size.Right now, Dr.Z NanoFuel™ patch and MIZU 水 Paint are ready to embark into commercialization journey from local to global. It has what it takes; from outstanding nanotechnology research to multiple awards, intellectual properties IP, and certification from NanoMalaysia Berhad as a genuinely nanotechnology product. As for carbon regulatory, Dr.Z NanoFuel patch has complied with the carbon specification permitted by the Department of Environment (DOE) with specification below 4.5% CO and CO2 vehicle emission. From the Automotive Accredited Lab Report, carbon reading by Dr.Z NanoFuel patch is less than 2% depending on the engine capacity range of vehicles. The product has been validated by an accredited automotive lab with dynamometer testing for CO2, CO, hydrocarbon (black carbon; smog), nitrogen oxide (NOx; soot) and oxygen. CO emission from vehicle exhaust is reduced by 30% when using Dr.Z NanoFuel patch starting from 80 km/h motorcycle speed onwards. CO2 emission is reduced by 10% with Dr.Z NanoFuel patch starting from 60 km/h speed onwards. Hydrocarbon or black smog is reduced by 16% starting from 70 km/h speed onwards. An interesting fact for oxygen, increased by 8% when using Dr.Z NanoFuel patch showed that it leads to a lean combustion in the engine.

3. Dr.Z NanoFuel patch has complied with the regulation of carbon emission rate (Regulated Carbon emission) allowed by Malaysia Department of Environment (DOE). The regulated carbon emission specification is less than 4.5%. With Dr.Z NanoFuel patch, the carbon released is measured below 4.5%, and some has reached less than 1%.
