What we do

Description of Business
Development, manufacture and sale of modo-cell®, a vegetable-based, biodegradable plastic substitute material

The raw materials are plant fiber (cellulose), starch, plant-derived natural resins, and water. Plant-derived raw materials are used. Since most plant fibers are compatible with the main material, there is no concern about depletion of raw materials. In addition, cellulosic residues generated in the product manufacturing process and agricultural waste generated in the region can be used as raw materials. Our proprietary machine crushes the raw materials, which are then used to produce modo-cell®.

Company's story

Our Specialty
Biodegradable in the natural environment. No “methane gas” is produced.

Because modo-cell® is derived from plants, it can be biodegraded both on the ground and in the ocean.
Since it can be decomposed at room temperature without being limited to specific environments such as composting, no methane gas is generated during decomposition.

Background of the Project
The current market for “bioplastics” has been challenged by the lack of technological capabilities to meet market needs. The market has been calling for technological development to enable the use of cellulose, which is difficult to saccharify, as well as to improve quality and cost performance.

With the superior technological capabilities of our exclusive partner plant in Taiwan, we have made it possible to manufacture products by specially grinding edible/non-edible plants (organic resources) and coloring them with food-based pigments such as food coloring.

In addition, the company has achieved low cost by using inexpensive raw materials through long term research and development as well as production efficiency.

The market image of “bioplastics are expensive” has been completely dispelled. We are aiming to distribute modo-cell® products in Japan with our technology, product strength, and overwhelming [outstanding cost performance].

Purpose of Business
Currently, “modo-cell®” products are manufactured only in Taiwan, using high technology developed over many years of research and development.

We will distribute in Japan a number of products that have made this outstanding cost performance possible. In the future, we will establish a planning and manufacturing base in Japan to create “Made in Japan” products, which are synonymous with safety and security standards worldwide.

In addition, we will strive to recycle bamboo from abandoned bamboo groves and agricultural waste, which is becoming a problem in Japan, and create products made from plant-based materials to contribute to solving environmental problems and the allergy issues that have been raised in recent years. We will always strive to understand the quality needs of the market and continue to provide safe and excellent products that are trusted by the market.
