Technology to extract amino acids from shochu lees
Popular
What we do
We are a company engaged in the following businesses using shochu distillation lees as raw materials.
1) Extraction of amino acids alone
2) Generating electricity within the framework of FIT by using biogas obtained from methane gas production
We will contribute to securing renewable energy resources in the long term and solving the economic and environmental problems faced by the local Kyushu region due to the disposal of shochu distillation lees.
Company's story
Our Specialty
< Amino Acid Extraction and Sales Business >
Proteins contained in food wastes are broken down to produce amino acids.
Currently, we are considering using it as a supplement for pet food, but in the future we aim to develop applications as a medical and nutritional food ingredient for humans.
< Creating Environmental Energy >
By solubilizing the raw material in the first stage of the biogas generation process of methane fermentation, which is the basis of biomass power generation, the amount of gas generated can be 1.5 to 2 times higher than usual, which improves profitability and allows for more favorable commercialization under the renewable energy buyback program (FIT).
< Industrial Waste Recycling Business >
The solubilization technology that utilizes the decomposition ability of microorganisms discovered by Kumamoto Prefectural University can be used to extract useful components from food- and agricultural-based wastes.

Our story
Chaperon Inc. was established in 2018.
Originally, Mr. Chikami Tanaka, President of “Car Plaza Kumamoto Inc.”, established the Environmental Energy Division in 2009 and has accumulated 12 years of research experience.
With the cooperation of Professor Yasuhiro Ishibashi of Kumamoto Prefectural University, we put the technology to practical use using the results of the professor's research, a “high-concentration methane fermentation system using ultra-high temperature solubilization technology”.
This is a technology to extract useful components from food and agricultural wastes through solubilization technology that utilizes the organic matter decomposition ability of microorganisms.
In 2018, the environmental energy division of the company was incorporated and is now Chaperon Corporation.
It is a groundbreaking business that extracts amino acids from shochu lees and also conducts a power generation business.
In 2020, the Kumamoto Prefectural Government approved our management innovation plan, and as a local venture company, we will continue to open up new possibilities for environmental energy.
