Our Specialty
Using plant-derived, biodegradable bioplastic “PlaX™” to promote a prosperity.
“PlaX™” is a novel carbon neutral material with improved quality and function, comprised of bioplastic PolyLactic Acid (PLA), a plant-derived material such as sugarcane, and additives exclusively developed by Bioworks.
PlaX™ single-handedly overcomes issues that hindered PLA’s popularity, such as poor durability, heat resistance, fiber dyeing during the manufacturing process. PlaX™ has attracted international attention as a new material which can, not only replace existing synthetic fibers and plastic products, but also be used to actively develop new applications, providing a solution to environmental issues and contribute to the realization of a sustainable recycling society.

From the manufacture of disposable materials to the manufacture of materials that continue to circulate.
The world environment is facing a critical situation due to mass production and mass consumption, such as facing global warming caused by CO2 emissions, deforestation, and the depletion of various resources. This has greatly affected our future.
In order to rewrite the map of such future for which the production and disposal of petroleum-based plastics is a major factor, Bioworks has developed PlaX™, a plant-derived, biodegradable bioplastic.
In addition to replacing plastics and synthetics seen in our daily life with PlaX™, we will continue to test new fields never before imagined. Aiming for “the next standard” in creation from agricultural production background to decomposition and recycling, we hope to create a future with a recycling system from the viewpoint of “materials.”
We are involved in the following activities in order to realize a recyclable, sustainable, and new prosperity.
